They say horses give you wings and Peg did just that for his many devoted riders. A mainstay in the program, Peg was one of the go-to horses for instructors. Patient and steady, Peg worked in every facet of the CARD program, often carrying some of the most involved riders confidently through their classes.
Peg taught riders how to sit straight, how to steer and was especially good at helping riders learn to trot. He was the first horse many volunteers led, as his slow and steady pace were less intimidating for people who'd never handled a horse.
The star of many in-house shows, off property demonstrations and a veteran of well over half of the Volunteer Orientations, Peg was an integral part at CARD and he will be sorely missed.
